If you're like me, you're probably dreaming, planning, perhaps even praying, about the next year. At Illumify, we're taking on some HUGE projects in 2019 which get me really excited!
If you have a significant other in your life, you might be thinking about how you can deepen your relationship with that person in the next year.
If so, Illumify author
Mark Benish is releasing his book,
Love Better Sooner this weekend--and it's a FREE giveaway on Amazon. Mark is a therapist here in the Denver area and a long-time friend.
His collaborative writer, Tricia Heyer, is a longtime friend as well. In fact her mother introduced me to Mark years ago, but I digress. Tricia is a New York Times bestselling
author, and Illumify is privileged to partner with Mark and Tricia on this outstanding project.

The reason why I mention all of this, is that it's the perfect opportunity to explain what we're doing with Mark Benish's book this weekend.
Amazon: If You Can't Beat 'Em, Join 'Em!
When I started out in publishing, I did everything in my power to battle the evil forces of Amazon. But when I realized I couldn't beat them, I decided to join them.
I read the other day that 50% of all print books and 83% of all eBooks are sold on Amazon.
Amazon is the gorilla in the room that authors can no longer ignore.
When I decided to work with Amazon instead of against them, I realized that there were advantages to making friends with Amazon.
For example, we publish all of our eBooks through Amazon's Kindle Direct Publishing program. This enables us to publish our authors' books through their KDP Select program. That means we can offer our authors' books as a free eBook giveaway for up to five days every 90 days.
Which is what we're doing with Mark Benish's book this weekend.
Incidentally, I prefer to promote our authors' free eBooks on holiday weekends, because people tend to slow down, purchase books online, and then read them.
Why Offer eBooks for FREE?
So why do we offer our authors' books for free?
It's all about Amazon's algorithms.
When an author's book starts selling, Amazon gives them a more favorable ranking on their search engine. As we all know, Amazon is all about making money.
Just look at Jeff Bezos.
Over the next five days, THOUSANDS of people are going to download Mark's book. This shows up as a "purchase" in Amazon's eyes.
Think about it: after this weekend, thousands of readers will have Love Better Sooner in their purchase history.
Do you know why this is important?
Immediately below every book on its Amazon page, you see a listing that begins with "Customers who bought this item also bought." And below it you'll find other books the same readers purchased.
If you rank high in Amazon sales, your books will now appear in that listing.
I don't know about you, but I've purchased plenty of books on that listing.
Like I said, it's all about algorithms.
Wouldn't You Like Your Book to
Rank #1 on Amazon?
