Reach the Masses With Your Powerful Message
Imagine standing in front of hundreds, even thousands of people, telling your story or sharing your powerful message.
They're eager to hear what you have to say.
Every week you meet with them and connect your message to their lives. If they want to learn more, you give them instructions on how they can purchase a copy of your book.
Best of all, if you suffer from a fear of public speaking (not one of my fears--I LOVE getting on the stage!), you have nothing to fear.
You're simply addressing people on your email list.
Two weeks ago, I shared some ideas for building your email list. Today, I'm going to give you even more helpful ideas.

Back in the day, I waited for people to contact Illumify about publishing their message or story. Business was like a slow drip--barely enough to keep us going.
One Sunday afternoon while feeling sorry for myself, I realized that business wasn't going to suddenly materialize out of nowhere.
I needed to build a stage and attract a crowd of people who were interested in our services.
And that's what brought you to us.
The same holds true for your book. Don't fool yourself into thinking that readers of your book are going to suddenly materialize out of nowhere.
You need to build a stage and attract a crowd of people who are interested in your powerful message or story.

7. Post on your Facebook page and encourage your followers to subscribe to your email list.
They don't call them Facebook friends for nothing. Your Facebook friends are people who are at least minimally interested in your life. Or they wouldn't be your Facebook friend.
Now, don't post a desperate plea for people to join your email list. That undermines your credibility. In a few weeks, I'll post the Anatomy of An Effective Blog Post.
In short, address the pain points of your book's audience. Then tell them they can learn more by subscribing to your fascinating weekly blog or email.
8. Post in Facebook groups. Join Facebook groups that gather around the content of your book. You'd be surprised how many FB groups are out there.
If you immediately promote yourself or your book, you’ll get kicked out. Engage in various FB conversations (positioning yourself as an authority on the subject) and then discretely mention your book and your subscriber list.
9. Start a subscribers-only Facebook group. Make sure you consistently give helpful content. Karen Bouchard, our Master Book coach created the Word Ninjas Facebook group that does this.
You need to check it out.
This can be a source of income, but don't charge much because the threshold is pretty low.
Leading a Facebook group can be a lot of work, but if you do a good job, you will build a loyal following.
10. Create a YouTube Video CTA. Start a YouTube channel and then produce videos with helpful content. In the video description, include a link that leads to a freebie (and email sign-up). It's called a Call To Action.

11. Answer questions on Quora. If you haven’t seen it, Quora is a question and answer website. People ask questions and viewers have an opportunity to answer them. Then readers vote on the most popular answers, which
potentially boosts you up in Quora's search engine. If readers give your answer the "thumbs up," it will be seen by thousands, perhaps millions of people.
Obviously, you want to answer questions that align with your story or message. The more compelling your response, the higher in the rankings you'll go. In your bio, offer a Call to Action (like #10) and an opportunity to sign up for your helpful blog/email.
12. Write blog posts on Medium or Substack. Medium is an online publishing platform that I've subscribed to for around four years. Substack is a competitor to Medium.
Bloggers on these platforms post interesting articles that cover every subject imaginable. You can build a following and then invite your readers to subscribe to your email list.
But Don't Forget This...
It doesn't make any sense building your email list if you don't have a strategy for releasing your transcendent book.
